Club Statement

The Pevensey website was created for three reasons; to keep members up to date with club goings on, to attract new members, and last but not least, for a bit of lunch hour fun.

The facts of the club are reasonably simple, 2 sides in the East Sussex Cricket League and 1 friendly Sunday side, but the ethos of the club is anything but. Although we are a small club compared to some other league sides, we are lucky to have a big family ethic at the club; Several families have three generations involved with the club! This means we are very wlecoming to new members, of all ages and skills. In 2008 we will be offering regular net sessions for youngsters who wish to try cricket or join and play for an adult side. Further information will be made available nearer the time but those interested should contact the club.

We are also a very sociable side. We run club events throughout the year to cater for all at the club. These include family fun days, a dinner, BBQ's, net sessions, and more often than not the games themselves don't end with the final run or wicket, our away game return routes always seem to run past the Six Bells at Chiddingly...

We aspire to enhance our club in many ways, both on and off the pitch; Our pavilion and ground have been and continue to be improved and we set ourselves a high standard for maintaining both. On the pitch we play to a good standard, but with a smile on our faces. Win or lose we enjoy the games and the the spirit of the game and our club thrives because of it.

Pevensey Cricket Club is a long running and succesful side. We cater for mixed ages and abilities. We enjoy our cricket and welcome new members who think they wish to enjoy their cricket within our club and community.
